Adoption
Purchasing a puppy is a BIG decision and we want to help you through this process. We do require a puppy application for all of our prospective families as we want to make sure you get the right fit for you and your family. We use a detailed application process to take deposits after our puppies are born, accepting only the best qualified forever homes. Please do not place a deposit unless your puppy application is accepted and you have been notified via email of the puppies we have available. Because we are a small, family breeder, we only have a limited amount of puppies each year and we want to assure they find the best homes possible. This is what sets us apart from larger breeding programs.

Puppy Pick-Up Day PoliciesOur puppy pick-up policy is as follows: 1. Scheduled Pick-up Day: We believe it is best for our pups to start their new routine in their new home between 8-9 weeks of age. Once the pick-up day has been established, any additional days required will need to be changed within two weeks of pick-up. 2. Additional Boarding Requirement: We are able to keep your puppy up to 10 weeks of age and continue their puppy training and keep them on their schedule but it will incur a $25 a day fee past their scheduled pick up date of 9 weeks of age. This will need to be established two weeks before their pick-up date. Anything past 10 weeks will require a $50 charge per day up to 12 weeks. 3. Health Check: Before pick-up, all puppies undergo a final health check by our veterinarian. This includes a physical examination, vaccinations, and deworming. We want to ensure that your new puppy is in good health before it goes home with you. 4. Payment: Full payment for the puppy must be made prior to pick-up or at pick-up. We accept cash, Zelle, or certified checks. Personal checks are not accepted. 5. Preparation: We recommend that you come prepared with a crate or carrier to transport your puppy safely. 6. Education: We will provide you with information on the puppy's diet, exercise needs, and general care instructions. We want to ensure that you have all the knowledge necessary to provide a loving and healthy environment for your new puppy. 7. Follow-up: We encourage you to stay in touch with us after the pick-up. We are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have as you adjust to life with your new puppy.

Spay/Neuter AgreementWe require all puppies purchased from Doodle Puppy Crew to have a signed Spay/Neuter Agreement. Puppies need to me spayed/neutered by 18 months of age. SPAYING OR NEUTERING YOUR DOG IS HEALTHIER FOR THEM. Neutering decreases the chance of perinatal tumors and hernias that are in older, un-neutered males. Neutered males are less likely to escape a yard and find a female in heat. This reduces the chance of them being hit by cars, getting into fights or lost. Females spayed before their first estrous cycle reduces her chance of mammary tumors, ovarian cancer and uterine infection. A spayed female eliminates the neighborhood stray males from coming over through your fence to breed with her. Giving birth to a litter can be dangerous to your pet. Spaying and neutering before sexual maturity has a temperment benefit. Males neutered early in life tend to be less aggressive. Spaying makes your female a better companion. Please consult with your vet for the best age for spay/neutering.

Do your puppies come fully potty trained? No, but we start the process of potty training and put them on a strict schedule to help the transition go smoothly. We have had reports that our previous puppies are fully potty trained by 4-5 months old when you uphold a good schedule.

What is a Cavapoochon? In recent years, hybrid dogs have gained popularity for their unique mix of desirable traits from different breeds. One such delightful hybrid is the Cavapoochon, a crossbreed known for its friendly demeanor, intelligence, and adorable appearance. If you're considering adding a furry friend to your family, here's why the Cavapoochon might just be the perfect choice for you. The Best of Three Breeds The Cavapoochon is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, the Bichon Frise, and the Miniature Poodle. Each of these breeds contributes something special to the Cavapoochon's personality and appearance: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel: Known for their affectionate nature and gentle temperament, Cavaliers bring loyalty and sociability to the mix. Bichon Frise: These cheerful and playful dogs add a fun-loving spirit and hypoallergenic coat qualities to the Cavapoochon. Miniature Poodle: Intelligent and highly trainable, Poodles contribute intelligence, hypoallergenic traits, and often curly or wavy coats. Why Choose a Cavapoochon? 1. Friendly and Affectionate: Cavapoochons are renowned for their loving and affectionate nature. They thrive on companionship and are excellent family pets, forming strong bonds with their owners and enjoying interactions with children and other pets. 2. Low to Non-Shedding Coats: If allergies are a concern, the Cavapoochon's coat, which can range from curly to wavy, is often hypoallergenic or low-shedding. This makes them suitable for many allergy sufferers. 3. Intelligent and Trainable: Thanks to their Poodle heritage, Cavapoochons are intelligent and eager to please. They respond well to positive reinforcement training methods and can excel in obedience training and learning tricks. 4. Adaptable to Various Lifestyles: Whether you live in a spacious house or a cozy apartment, the Cavapoochon can adapt well to different living environments. They enjoy moderate exercise and playtime but are also content to cuddle up on the couch with you. 5. Health and Longevity: Crossbreeding can sometimes result in hybrid vigor, where the offspring are healthier and more robust than purebred dogs. While it's essential to choose a reputable breeder and ensure health screenings are conducted, Cavapoochons generally enjoy good health and can have a long lifespan of around 12 to 15 years. Considerations Before Getting a Cavapoochon Before bringing a Cavapoochon into your home, it's crucial to consider the following: Time and Commitment: Like all dogs, Cavapoochons require daily exercise, mental stimulation, grooming, and regular veterinary care. Grooming Needs: Depending on their coat type, Cavapoochons may require regular brushing and occasional professional grooming to keep their coats healthy and mat-free. Finding a Reputable Breeder: To ensure you get a healthy and well-socialized puppy, research and choose a breeder who prioritizes the health and welfare of their dogs. The Cavapoochon combines the best qualities of its parent breeds to create a loving, intelligent, and adaptable companion. Whether you're looking for a playful playmate for your children, a loyal friend for yourself, or a hypoallergenic addition to your household, the Cavapoochon is a delightful choice worth considering. With their charming personalities and affectionate nature, these hybrid dogs are sure to bring joy and companionship to any loving home.
-
Do Cavapoochons bark excessively?NO. They are not high barkers, but if encouraged they will be a "guard dog" to alert you when someone is at the door. Please note that young puppies easily mirror the actions and behaviors of other dogs around them. Be sure to be vigilant in giving your young puppy the right dog mentors to look up to and learn good habits from.
-
Are underbites considered a health problem?NO Underbites are common in Cavalier breeds and are not considered a health problem. If a puppy has an underbite, it will be minimal and not intrusive.
-
Is my lifestyle important to consider when bringing home a Cavapoochon?YES - Cavapoochons do very well in homes where they will have interaction with other dogs and humans. Especially in the puppy stage, they do not do well if left alone all day long. If you are gone from home for work, be sure to set up a puppy support system around you for dog walks, potty breaks, and socialization. Your puppy will need you or someone home those first few weeks to help them continue to excel at crate and house training.
-
Are Cavapoochons good with other dogs?YES. They are affectionate and welcoming to other fur friends.
-
HypoallergenicIs you are allergic to most dogs, you can still bring a Doodle Puppy Crew puppy home! Due to the poodle mix, our puppies shouldn't bother those with dog allergies. Our own son has a dog allergy, yet our puppies don't bother him at all. Again, there is minimal shedding.
-
Do you provide ENS?Yes, we do! Our ENS (early neurological stimulation) starts on day 3 to enhance the natural abilities for our pups and to help them for any "stress related" instances. These stresses in a controlled environment help stimulate the neurological system which improves their stress tolerance and improves the growth and development of the pup's immune system and their cardiovascular system. You can check out the highlight on our Instagram page for an idea of what we provide and how we do it.
