A morning at Doodle Puppy Crew with three week old pups.

The alarm clock goes off at 6:30 am but I already here Mamma Ella scratching at the door to go out. When you are a nursing dog mamma, a few things are essential: plenty of food and water and lots of potty breaks. I already let her out around 3 am. That's the thing about small, in-home family breeders. We care about our mammas and actually baby them along with their adorable litter of puppies.

After a quick potty break, a run around the yard to stretch those legs, its back into the cozy whelping box to feed her babies their morning breakfast. The pups are only 3 weeks old at this point so mamma is still doing most of the work. Wait until Week 7...... our mornings get real busy. Until then, I will gladly get up in the night and early morning for potty breaks. Then it's off to my coffee pot for me. :)
